How to Use Spillsafe
Treating Oil Spills
For oil spills on the track, dilute the cleaner with water at a ratio of up to 1:8. Around five litres of prepared solution can be used for every ten square metres of affected surface.
Apply the mixture across the spill and allow it to work on the oil. The exact method and contact time should follow the instructions on the product label. The surface should then be rinsed thoroughly.
Do not reopen the affected section until it has been inspected and is safe to use.
General Track Cleaning
For regular cleaning, dilute the product with water at a ratio of up to 1:100. This weaker solution can help remove general dirt and grime from larger areas.
Apply it evenly across the surface. Pay close attention to areas where vehicles stop, turn or receive maintenance, as these places may collect more oil and grease.
